This Privacy Policy explains how Kare Label AI ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. Kare Label AI is developed and operated by an individual developer (the "Developer"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information necessary to create and manage your account.
• Scan images: Photos of clothing care labels that you capture or upload within the App are stored securely and used to generate care instructions.
• Scan results: The text-based results generated for each scan (washing instructions, fabric type, etc.) are stored so you can view your scan history.
• Usage data: Information such as your daily scan count, subscription status, selected language, and general app usage, needed to operate free-tier limits and premium features.
• Subscription data: If you purchase a premium subscription, purchase and billing information is processed by the app store (Google Play) and our subscription management provider; we do not directly collect or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core functionality of the App (analyzing clothing care labels and displaying results).
• To maintain your account and scan history.
• To enforce free-tier usage limits and manage premium subscriptions.
• To improve and maintain the App's reliability and performance.
• To communicate with you regarding support requests, if you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes data according to its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — backend infrastructure used to store your account data, scan images, and scan results.
• OpenAI — scan images are sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision model solely to analyze the clothing care label and generate care instructions. Images are processed for this purpose in accordance with OpenAI's API data usage policies.
• Google Sign-In — used for account authentication.
• RevenueCat — used to manage premium subscriptions and purchase validation.

Text recognition used to automatically trigger camera capture (detecting when a label is in frame) is performed entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

4. Camera Permission

The App requests access to your device's camera solely to allow you to photograph clothing care labels for analysis. Camera access is not used for any other purpose, and live camera preview is never recorded or transmitted except for the single photo you capture.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and scan history for as long as your account remains active, so that you can access your scan history at any time. You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently deletes your profile, scan history, and associated images from our systems.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3, to the extent necessary to operate the App's features.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App. For any other requests, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
